Grasshopper plugin Change PlanaR3D It promises designers more control over 3D printing without the need for expensive software or programming skills. It was developed in Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
Unlike traditional cutting software, Non-PlanaR3D creates print paths in all three axes. This aims to achieve certain advantages: higher component strength, better surfaces, shorter printing times, and material savings.
According to the creators, manual selection of tracks also makes it possible to simulate mechanical stresses. Components can be specifically optimized for greater stability and reduced weight.
The first version of the free plugin is already available. More posts are expected to follow in the coming weeks. Users can submit design suggestions themselves.
