The tetrads are active every year between the end of December and the second week of January. During this period, the Earth passes the orbit of asteroid 2003 EH, whose fragments burn up in the atmosphere in the form of meteors. Most of them can be seen around January 3 and 4 – Until next week! Then the quatrains reach their climax. But it's also worth taking a look at the surrounding night sky.
Tips for a perfect starry night
- To spot a meteor shower, you don't need any special equipment or prior knowledge — just clear skies.
- Find a place with a little light and give your eyes about 15 to 20 minutes to adjust To get used to the dark.
- Dress appropriately for the temperature and be sure to take a warm blanket, lounge or comfortable chair with you.
- Then lie down and look at the sky. Unavailable? Have you spotted a shooting star? Then make a wish!
