The Tyrolean FPÖ complaint against Werder Bremen is now fixed

Following a tweet from Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga about an event organized by the FPÖ in Zillertal (“Klare Kante gegen Nazis”) in early July, the Tyrol state party and football club will meet in court: The party has filed a lawsuit and brought it to the relevant regional court in Innsbruck.

According to Oberzger, a civil attorney, the party’s legal representative is currently examining the specific facts on which a case will be brought. But it is probably going in the direction of an insult to honor.

Recently, Abwerzger gave the club an ultimatum by July 14 and asked for an opinion. In a letter to officials, he demanded the immediate deletion of the tweet, a public apology or removal and financial compensation of 10 thousand euros. The compensation was to be given as a donation to youth work at SK Zell am Ziller – the place where the FPÖ event was held and Werder held their training camp.

But Werder Bremen did not comply with the request. They did not want to comment on the reason, which also made waves in Germany.
