The festive rendition of the “Digital Impulse Awards 2021” brought the best and most innovative companies to the curtain.

Rosenbauer International won the “Technological Revolution” award, the world’s first hybrid and grid-connected fire engine. It is operated via a 17-inch touch screen in the middle of the dashboard. Many operationally relevant functions can also be viewed and operated using portable devices outside the vehicle. A separate and secure WLAN ensures complete connectivity. Through “revolutionary technology”, Rosenbauer International has realized the complete digitization of firefighting operations, from resource planning to documentation and assessment.
1st place in the category “Transformation”
PwC Austria has won the “VR Evaluation KOIA” award and has developed, jointly with the Austrian Institute of Technology, an assessment tool that identifies digitally and with the aid of virtual reality whether an applicant’s personality fits with the company culture. The registered characteristics enable the company to make a value-based selection of job applicants and candidates to assess whether a future employer fits their own values before they join the company. Evaluation acts as a complement to the application process and reduces costs, time and variability.
