Hoya Cup U11 in Mönchengladbach
SK Sturm's U11 team spent three days in Mönchengladbach last weekend. The comprehensive program included a blitz tournament, tournament day and performance comparison. This resulted in a total of 245 minutes of play in twelve senior matches and one regional match.
The tournament was played without offside, which was a bit difficult for the U11 team at first. U11 results on Friday: Legia Warsaw 0:5, Arminia Bielefeld 5:3.
In the tournament on Saturday, there was an unfortunate 0:1 win against Fortuna Düsseldorf, a rather fortunate 1:0 against Stuttgart, against Nersbroich with a score of 16:0 which was the biggest win of the tournament and against the eventual winners of the tournament Eintracht Frankfurt with a score of 1 very bitter . :2 – Defeat with the winning goal for Frankfurt one minute before the end. After a 1-0 win over Wihn Wiesbaden they finished third in the group.
Our U11s drew 1-1 against FC Cologne, but after a really good game, they were narrowly defeated 4-5 in a thrilling nine-metre affair. The match against the Belgian Cup Eupen team ended 3-0. Thus, he finished eleventh in the championship in the final tally. The way our U11 team performed in these matches and against such opponents was fantastic.
