With Rocksmith+, Ubisoft has announced a subscription service that will help you learn to play guitar and improve your techniques with licensed songs. The basis is Rocksmith, with whom in 2011 Ubisoft tried to combine a musical game with learning to use a real stringed instrument.
Rocksmith+ supports acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and bass guitars. At the beginning of summer there should already be thousands of songs in the library, which you can even create your own arrangements and share with the community. Initially, the subscription service is offered via PC only. For platforms, you can already apply to participate in closed beta registration. Xbox One and Xbox Series X will follow | S, PlayStation 4 and PS5 in the fall.
At a time that has not yet been determined, you will even be able to practice independently from computers and consoles: an application is planned for iOS and Android mobile devices. You can also turn your mobile device into a microphone with the Rocksmith + Connect Mobile app. They can be paired with a computer and consoles, making additional equipment for tuning guitars unnecessary. Gadgets are connected to the computer and consoles as normal using a Real Tone cable.
In addition to active games, the service should also contain many educational videos on topics such as correct technology, music theory, equipment, tool maintenance and other areas.
The pricing structure for the subscription is as follows: Rocksmith+ will be available for €14.99 per month for a 1-month subscription, €39.99 for a 3-month subscription and €99.99 for a 12-month subscription.
