cane. The trip to Lower Austria was worth it for UVC Ried: Innviertel won the last match of the regular season in the German Volleyball League 3-1 against VCA Amstetten. This means that they have secured sixth place in the standings and are heading into the decisive stage with confidence.
Focused will to win
Already in the first set, the Raiders showed their will to win and turned a 20:23 deficit into a 29:27 win. In the second set, the home team was given no chance and took the second set at 25:11 after only 20 minutes. In the third round, Amstetner's team came back and narrowed the score, winning the set 25:23. But the Raiders did not let that deter them and got the win with a score of 25:23 in the final round.
Qualifying starts on February 17th
But Reed's volleyball players don't have much time to rest. The German League qualifiers begin next week. In the “Best of 3 Series” she meets Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel. The first match will take place on February 17 at 6pm at the Raiffeisen Volleydome. Club president Roman Lutz is hoping for support from the stands: “The flying dome should be shaking from 6pm. With our fans behind us, we want to challenge Waldviertel and put on a high-level match.”
