World Cup 2022: Who will broadcast England-USA live on TV and stream?

In their second match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the England national team is set to play against the USA. But who will broadcast the performance of the three lions live on TV and stream?

The England national team celebrated the start of the World Cup with fervor. Coach Gareth Southgate’s side beat Iran 6-2 in their opening game. BVB driver Jude Bellingham opened the scoring with his first international goal – and later spoke of a “proud moment”. The USA was the better team in their first competitive appearance against Wales (1-1), but ended up carelessly dropping two points.

At the end of the first Friday of the World Cup, a live clash awaits at the Al-Bayt Stadium at 8pm. The Englishmen, fifth in the FIFA world rankings, cannot deny their favorite role. The Three Lions’ particularly attacking appearance against Iran left us wanting more. The American defense around Walker Zimmerman and Tim Ream had a lot of work to do against the disappointing Welsh.

In a long-distance battle with Wales for second place in Group B, the Americans faced Gareth Bale & Co. in an 11th-hour game. Iran will also be watching closely as they face their last group foes, the US. Goal difference may also play a role in the end, for example the Iranians are already at -4 after the start.

The last meeting between the Three Lions and the US-Boys was a clear affair: England’s record goalscorer Wayne Rooney’s last international match at Wembley in November 2018 had no order for the USA (0: 3). Former Schalke player Weston McKenney, former Dortmunder Christian Pulisic and opening goalscorer Timothy Weah are among the starting eleven.

ARD broadcasts – commented by Bartels

In the case of public broadcasters, ARD broadcasts the meeting. The broadcast begins half an hour before kick-off, with World Cup experts Almuth Schulte, Thomas Hitzberger and world champions Sami Khedira and Bastian Schweinsteiger as referees. Tom Bartels will provide commentary for the game. As well as being broadcast on TV, the game can also be seen on the ARD stream.

If you have a paid “Magenta TV” subscription, you can watch the match between England and USA on the pay TV station as an alternative. With the so-called Magenta TV Flex subscription, football fans can follow the games live for ten euros per month.
