100 years SV Horn: Celebration of 100 years

On 27 May 2023 SV Horn also celebrated its centenary internally with a party at the clubhouse. The players, coaches, former legends, fan groups, club members and dedicated fans who have contributed to the club’s success over the decades have come together and looked forward to the past century.

The celebrations began with a reception followed by a speech by SV Horn, where current and former players, coaches and club management reviewed SV Horn’s achievements. The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia and gratitude as memories were exchanged and tales of special moments shared.

One of the special moments of the celebration was honoring the people who committed themselves to SV Horn in an extraordinary way. Rudolf Loudon, president of SV Horn, was awarded the City of Horn’s Sporting Silver Medal for his contribution to the club. In addition, President Emeritus and Honorary President Eng. Thomas Kronsteiner received the Gold Sports Medal for special assignments for the city of Horn.
Later President Simon Kronsteiner presented gift boxes to important supporters.

A highlight of the anniversary celebration was a round table discussion between former players, a representative of the women’s team, the head coach of the team and the head of the youth team. They talked about the past few years, their own experiences with the club and expressed their hopes for the future.

Another highlight was the performance of athletic acrobatics under the direction of Sandra Kauffman, who inspired the audience with her acrobatic exercises.

SV Horn’s 100-year history is characterized by passion, commitment and a sense of community. Over the decades, the association has seen its ups and downs, but has always maintained faith in its values. The anniversary celebration described this development perfectly.
