Actor Gregor Bloeb has become the new artistic director of the Tyrolean Folk Theater at Telefs. An APA spokeswoman said the Volkswagen General Assembly decided so on Monday evening and confirmed the ORF Tirol report. The summer of 2023 will be the first season that the 54-year-old Tirol native will be in charge of at Telfs.
She said Bloeb will start its work this fall. The brother of actor Tobias Moretti beat 15 other candidates – including three women. Tyrolean actually participated in the Tyrolean folk theater in its early years. He had roles in plays such as “Gaismair”, “Dragon Durst” or “The Rusty Knight” by Felix Mitterer.
According to the report, after difficult years of internal disagreements, the actor must bring the games back to the original idea – that is, bring the typical folk theater to the stage with special Tirol actors and actors and develop world premieres.
Bloeb, who is married to actress Nina Bruhl, is not new to theater management: he directed The Hague Summer Theater in Lower Austria for ten years. (Abba)
