The companies operating in Austria under the brand name of the French energy giant ENGIE were changed to Equans.
Equins Austria announced on Monday that the change is effective immediately. Five companies will be affected: Engie Austria GmbH, Engie Construction GmbH, Engie Energie GmbH, Engie Gebäudetechnik GmbH and Engie Kältetechnik GmbH – Equans Austria became, Equans Construction, Equans Energie, Equans Gebäudetechnik and Equans Kältetechnik.
The companies Aquaplaning, Lepuschitz, MR-Tech, Nahwärme Kreuzstetten and Naturwärme Montafon, which also belong to Equans Austria, are not affected by the name change. Renaming will not change anything for customers and suppliers.
Equans designs, builds, operates, and supplies factories and technology buildings and is active in 17 countries with 74,000 employees. The Euqans Austria branch employs more than 1,000 people in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
In November of the previous year, it became known that the French group Bouygues wanted to buy Engie’s services division, Equans. The valuation at the time was 7.1 billion euros.
Engie’s share shows itself in Paris at times with a 1.27 percent decrease to €11.05.
