Due to high demand, an additional tour of the summer exhibition of the state capital Bregenz will take place next Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 11 a.m. The artist Tone Fink will personally guide you through the exhibition “solo.tone” in the Thurn und Taxis Palace.
The term “art as a way of life”, coined by Antonin Artaud – the pioneer of avant-garde theatre in the 20th century – aptly describes Tone Fink’s artistic expression. During this performing tour, visitors have the opportunity to explore the four levels of the exhibition in person with the artist. From the basement to the attic, the exhibition unfolds as a journey through Tone Fink’s 60-year creative period. On display are cinematic works, objects, drawings of figures storming the sky, paintings, erotic works and large-scale sculptural robes. A special highlight awaits visitors in the attic of the palace, reminiscent of a cathedral: here Tone Fink has installed three “attic rooms” that reveal an intimate and multifaceted world and reflect human existence in all its complexity.
On Sunday, September 1, 2024, the closing of the exhibition will be celebrated with “Finissage Sunday”. From 11 am to 8 pm, art lovers have the opportunity to say goodbye to the exhibition with Ton Fink. The day will conclude with a varied programme and a drink afterwards.
