Asuncion: The Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology issued a special warning this afternoon of the possibility of severe storms in the south of the eastern region and north of the Chaco.
The areas affected by the storm will be: Itapua, Misiones, Paraguay, Alto Paraguay, as well as part of Boqueron.
The warning states that there is a high probability of moderate to heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong to very severe thunderstorms in these sections.
High atmospheric instability over these areas is expected to cause thunderstorms at times on Sunday afternoon.
Some rain is also expected in Asuncion and surrounding areas on Sunday afternoon and throughout the week. However, extreme temperatures will continue.
