OpenAI has a multi-year agreement with Murdoch's News Corp. complete. It has previously concluded deals with the German Axel Springer Group, the French newspaper Le Monde, and the Financial Times.
In the future, the chatbot ChatGPT will also have access to articles in the Wall Street Journal and the London Times. Developer OpenAI has entered into a multi-year agreement with News Corp. Media mogul Rupert Murdoch. OpenAI announced on Wednesday that this will allow users to view information from the media in question and use the content to improve the software.
The deal also includes access to current and archival material from other News Corp titles, such as The New York Post and The Sun. In recent months, the German group Axel Springer, the French newspaper Le Monde, and the Financial Times, among others, have concluded agreements with OpenAI.
Several lawsuits against OpenAI
On the other hand, the New York Times filed a lawsuit last December on charges that ChatGPT had learned articles from the newspaper without permission. Several U.S. regional newspapers owned by investor Alden Global Capital have recently sued, including the Chicago Tribune and the New York Daily News.
ChatGPT has been generating hype around AI for over a year. The principle behind this is that they estimate, word for word, how a sentence should continue. (APA/DPA)
