MThe “Rick Margetza – Jim Rotondi Quintet” plays international jazz greats at Seidl-Keller.
The spring season of the cultural association “Freiraum” ends with a concert of its own: on Thursday, May 4th, American trumpeter and professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Jim Rotondi, will make a guest appearance at 8 p.m. with a newly formed quintet in Seidl-Keller . “Get ready for vibrant, powerful music,” Rotondi declares.
The promise doesn’t sound too high, especially since saxophonist Rick Margetza is also present, who has also played with absolute jazz stars like Chick Correa and Miles Davis and also composed symphonies.
The band was also joined by bassist Josh Ginsberg, pianist Danny Grisset and drummer Vladimir Kostdinovich. Tickets are available in advance for €20 on 02162/62349 or [email protected]. Box office: 22 euros.
