U17 World Cup: Germany meets USA in Round of 16
After two wins against Mexico (3:1) and New Zealand (3:1), the German U17 won the Venezuela selection in Jakarta on Saturday. Robert Ramczak took the lead in the first minute. Just before the half-time whistle, Erick da Silva Moreira made it 2-0 (42nd minute), before Ramszak added the final score (57th). With this the DFB Juniors topped Group F.
After the game against Venezuela, national coach Christian Wouk told Sky Microphone he was happy with how the game went: “Definitely everything went our way.”
World Cup Round of 16 vs USA: Germany U17s “have what it takes to stay long”
Wück had only words of praise for his team on Sky: “I think the boys really embraced the World Cup, they were there immediately, even though we didn’t really have any preparation. We had some setbacks,” said the 50-year-old, referring to Azan Otroko’s injury.
