Gareth Bale’s term in Europe is coming to an end. Wales International have only a contract with Real Madrid until the summer and will join the new club next season. According to the Washington Post correspondent Steven Koff, Bale’s advisory board is currently in talks with DC United.
The MLS club plans to bring the 32-year-old to the US capital at the end of the season in Europe. For this they want to dig even deeper into their pockets than Wayne Rooney signed in 2018. According to the report, talks between those involved took place a few months ago, but they have not turned out to be conclusive. Now again the parties are said to be exchanging information.
Bale has not played a role in Madrid in a long time. If Wales beat Scotland or Ukraine in the play-off final on June 5, Bale will be aiming to show his best at the World Cup in Qatar. Competitive practice at DC United is guaranteed. However, according to reports, Bale’s hometown of Cardiff City is also vying for the superstar’s signature.
