Lamborghini eSports announces the second edition of the “The Real Race” Championship for sim racers around the world
The first edition of the Lamborghini eSports “The Real Race” Championship in 2020 was a huge success and has delighted more than 2,500 drivers from 109 countries. This year, the competition is being held for the second time and kicks off with a new and improved tournament format that offers three regional elimination championships for drivers in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Asia Pacific. The luxury super sports car brand’s exciting eSports championship will be held by the sim racing community behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO, the three-time winner of the Daytona 24 Hours of Race. Lamborghinis Centro Stile’s interior design department has designed an exclusive race paint scheme for the championship, which participants can customize in 12 different editions. The tournament takes place from June to November. Contestants from all over the world can register for the open qualifying races, which are held Monday through Friday. The top 40 players from the open qualifying races participate in the closed qualifiers, which take place every Saturday. Then the top 20 participants take part in The Real Race on Sunday, where they compete against each other twice on the same route. In a total of 10 weekly qualifying tournaments for each region, participants can collect points in their regional standings and thus climb up the ranking list to become the next regional champion.
The second edition of The Real Race underscores Lamborghini’s commitment to the esports scene.
