Wacker Innsbruck and Austria Klagenfurt had little chance of a direct promotion to the German Bundesliga in the second football league. The Tyroleans extended their winning streak with a 2-1 victory over SV Lafnitz to seven matches and moved by three points to third. Klagenfurt are fourth after a 3-2 draw with FC Liefering. Young Bulls are still on points, ahead of table leader Blau Weiß Linz.
Upper Austria missed the jump to the top with a 0: 1 defeat in OÖ’s duel with Juniors OÖ. Liveringer has a better goal difference with one stroke. However, the top two teams are not eligible for promotion. Wacker has gone up to five points to the duo, if you want to avoid relegation to the bottom of the Bundesliga, you have to reach the top two in the last two rounds. Klagenfurt trail by 6 points, and thus have a small chance of an immediate promotion.

The GAK clinched sixth place on the table with a 2-0 win over Austria Lustenau thanks to goals from Martin Harrier (5) and Lucas Gabichler (89). FAC is new 9th place after winning 2-0 in Amstetten. SV Horn gave “Red Lantern” to Rapid II at least until Thursday thanks to a 2-1 home draw against Kappfenberger SV.
