Apart from the 28-year-old, national coach Stefan Horngacher has named his entire senior squad for the trip to the US: Carl Geiger, Stefan Lahey, Pius Baske, Philippe Raimondt and Felix Hoffmann in Lake Placid.

Slovenia's Lovro Koz won Friday's qualifying round with 126 meters and 5.1 points over Austrians Michael Haebach and Daniel Huber. Wellinger finished fifth as the best DSV ski jumper.
