Christoph Ahlborn, formerly Head of Sales for Nestlé Switzerland, will be responsible for managing Nestlé Waters Germany and Austria.

46-year-old Christoph Ahlorn will take over as Managing Director of Nestlé Waters Germany and Austria on September 1, 2021. In this position, he will report to Muriel Lenau, President of Nestlé Waters EMEA, and at the same time will be part of the management team in Nestlé Germany.

Christoph Ahlborn began his career at Nestlé Germany in 2000 in the field of marketing and sales. After several positions in sales and marketing, he was appointed to the management of Nestlé Kaffee & Schokoladen GmbH in 2009. There he initially held the position of Head of Channel Category Sales Development, later as Marketing Director of Beverages and in 2013 as Director of Customer Sales. In 2019, Christoph Ahlborn moved to Switzerland, where he was responsible for sales as Head of Sales.

Nestlé Waters is the largest bottled water company in the world. The Nestlé subsidiary operates in 34 countries around the world and employs more than 28,000 people. The portfolio includes more than 50 global and local brands such as Perrier, S-Pellegrino, Poland Spring, Vettel, Buxton and Erikli. By selling bottled water alone, Nestlé generated sales equivalent to seven billion euros in 2018, according to Handelsblatt.
