Acer introduced a wide expansion of its sustainable Vero series at its upcoming @acer global press conference today. In addition to the Aspire Vero and TravelMate Vero laptops, this also includes the Acer Vero BR277 monitor. In the first generation, the devices consisted partly of recycled plastic (PCR) — 30 percent in the case and 50 percent in the keycaps. In addition, the devices are designed in such a way that they can be easily disassembled at the end of their life cycle and optimally recycled.

Acer Aspire Vero

The Acer Aspire Vero (AV15-51) is not only elegant, but also a symbol of Acer’s sustainability strategy. The sleek notebook body is made of 30 percent PCR plastic. Half of the keycaps are also made of PCR plastic. Sustainability requirements also extend across production throughout its entire life cycle: the housing is sealed with easily accessible and standardized screws and the screen can also be 99 percent recyclable. In addition, the packaging is made of completely recyclable materials and can be converted into a laptop stand.

The notebook is not only built with special attention to sustainability, but it also impresses with a powerful interior: the latest 11th generation Intel® Core (TM) processors, Intel® Iris® Xe graphics, and 39.6 cm (15,6 inches) The Full HD IPS screen provides users with plenty of performance, whether in the office, in the home office, or on the go. In order not to neglect the power management of the notebook, it is equipped at the factory with the new Acer VeroSense software, which can be used to easily improve energy efficiency and battery life.

The Aspire Vero has all the common functions every real person needs, including WiFi 6, a USB Type-C port, and two USB Type-A ports. Acer TrueHarmony (TM) and Acer PurifiedVoice (TM) enable crystal clear call quality during video conferencing by reducing AI noise.

Acer Travel Mate Vero

The Acer TravelMate Vero (TMV15-51) was created specifically for businesses and their needs, and at the same time, it is particularly sustainable. The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and Kensington lock reliably secure all types of sensitive data, while the company’s IT can manage it very easily. Rounding out the security package is the integrated Acer ProShield Plus security solution, which can also be used to encrypt and decrypt the TravelMate Vero as well as verify biometrics via fingerprint or facial recognition.

The 68.58 cm (27 in) Acer Vero BR277 comes with a sustainable cover made from 50 percent PCR plastic, and has also been certified especially green by ENERGY STAR®, TCO and EPEAT. The screen’s ComfyView panel is anti-reflective, flicker-free, and can be dimmed to just 15 percent brightness for fun work.

In addition, thanks to the Acer Ergostand, the monitor is also particularly comfortable and can be individually adjusted in height, tilt, swivel and swivel to provide the perfect viewing angle. Meanwhile, Acer VisionCare reduces eyestrain, and Acer BlueLightShield (TM) reduces blue light fatigue.

The Acer Vero BR277 is also supplied in fully recyclable packaging.
