Shadow Gambit: Developers urgently warn about fake beta

Game developer Mimimi is warning about a supposed beta for its upcoming stealth game Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.

The underlying message is plain and simple: “There is no game trial available!”

Don’t fall for it

Accordingly, an identical-looking website with a “very similar domain” is used to offer a fake demo version for download.

“Mimimi Games is currently the target of a phishing campaign,” it says. “Someone is sending suspicious emails with a link to a website that looks identical to the real Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew and uses a very similar domain and claims there is a free trial download.”

“This email is not from us! There is no game demo available! The real domain is shadowgambit.com – we are not using any other domain for this game!”

So be careful and don’t fall for such tentative promise.
