Skull & Bones: Happy Too Early: Release delayed again

Skull & Bones has been forgotten for a long time, only to reappear this year with a specific launch date. However, this cannot be committed again.

Hacking saga was originally introduced at E3 2017, and was supposed to be available a long time ago, but it ran into many issues in the meantime. Instead of being released in the fall of 2018, several major transformations and revisions followed.

Accordingly, it’s been quiet about the title for a long time – so quiet that you had to worry about whether the game would still appear at all. The game’s return to the scene this year was even more satisfying, because there was not only new gameplay to be seen, but also a concrete release date of November 8, 2022.

After all this time, that will probably be fine for many interested parties, but the crux of the matter is that this deadline can never be met again. In this regard, it may be allowed to ask why the game was presented with a specific date in the summer after so long and why it was not better to wait until you are really sure.

But now the truth: November is (again) history and the game is clearly slipping into next year. PC, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 are supposed to be released only on March 9, 2023. Ubisoft mentioned the reason for the delay that the development team needed extra time for fine-tuning and balancing in order to deliver the best possible gaming experience – It is a classic experiment among the rationales, which brings us back to the above thesis.

After all: as compensation, there should be an open beta testing phase in the near future. From this point of view, you can at least play Skull & Bones, although by no means in the final version. More details about this beta version will follow soon.
