Three dead in a Russian attack on Odessa

At least three people have been killed in a Russian air strike on the southern Ukrainian port of Odessa, officials say. Another 13 people were injured, the spokesman for the Military Department of Odessa Serhiy Prachuk announced today in the Telegram correspondent service.

The three dead were employees of a warehouse who were hit by a Caliber cruise missile.

Silinsky calls for tougher penalties

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for strengthening Ukraine’s air defenses and imposing tougher sanctions on Russia after Russia’s deadly missile attack on his hometown of Kryvyi Rih. “We must create with our partners conditions that will make Russian terrorism impossible,” he said.

Firstly, it will be necessary to purchase more air defense systems and combat aircraft, and secondly, sanctions against Russia should be applied more consistently. “If we take, for example, one of the missiles that hit Kryvyi Rih today, then about 50 components – mostly microelectronics – were made in other countries,” Zelensky said.

Some of them are produced in the partner countries of Ukraine, however, Russia managed to get the ingredients. The companies working with Moscow are well known.
