WOLFSBURG (dpa-AFX) – After clear criticism from the working group, Volkswagen (Volkswagen (VW) vz) boss Herbert Diess will attend a job meeting in Wolfsburg in early November. A trip to the US, which was originally scheduled for next week, has actually been canceled, as confirmed on Wednesday at the request of a company spokesman. Danila Cavallo, the new working group chairperson, had previously publicly criticized the absence of the CEO at the company meeting.
CEO Dice will be in Wolfsburg on Nov. 4 and will answer staff questions, a company spokesman said. A conversation event scheduled for Thursday was canceled at short notice.
Cavallo, the leader of the task force, criticized the cancellation and his own meeting with clear words. Instead, the board pushes a conversation event “according to its own script” into its calendar. Cavallo asked Diess to send CFO Arno Antlitz to investors in the United States and answer employee questions, if needed./bch/dp/nas.
