The Plenary Infrastructure Group has hired Cub Traffic Com in the United States to implement a new payment system. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) project for the Louisiana Highway (LA-1) is in addition to the existing agreement between Cups and Plenary. […]
For the LA-1 project, Kapsch is updating the existing payment infrastructure and using the Kapsch Advanced Lane solution for this. In addition, existing systems and services are updated and available, and the efficiency of operation and maintenance is increased. The new system will work with the state’s current Geoxpass transponder program and include new computer functions such as video-based toll technology. The start of implementation is scheduled for 2023, followed by 30 years of technical and business operations.
Until now, Cuff has been tasked with providing an integrated, complete electronic payment system and related maintenance services for the reconstruction of a major bridge and tunnel in Belly Chase, Louisiana. Plenary began construction of the new bridge and tunnel in January 2020.
“We look forward to continuing to work with the Plenary and Louisiana Department of Transportation,” said J.F. Kendrick said. “Investments in infrastructure and tariff systems will create modern and efficient facilities that will enhance the travel experience for drivers in Louisiana.”
