Tony Kurz welcomed visitors to the opening of the exhibition “Anima Mundi” in the halls of the Horne Art Society. “The traditional annual title of the summer theme of Allegro Vivo is always a beautiful challenge, but it gives a lot,” Kurz explained, thanking the artists present and the private lenders for making the exhibits available.
Kurz also introduced the artists present: Elfriede M. Kleppich, Norbert Christoph Schrockenfuchs and Franz Stanislaus Mrkvitka. The works on display revolve around the theme, sometimes clearly visible, sometimes only at second glance. Works by 19 artists from Pierre Bettencourt to Grete Jeppen can be admired. “The beautiful exhibition at the Art Society was created according to the plan of a scavenger hunt,” said Kurz.
“Allegro Vivo wants to use the main theme of the festival to encompass the entire Waldviertel region,” explained Vahid Khadem-Misagh. “When visual art and music come together, it can only be a great exhibition.” City Councillor Martin Seidl opened the exhibition.
Eric Delmore, Christa and Toni Kurz and Rudolf Neuhold are responsible for the tapestries. The concert was accompanied by music by graduates of the Allegro Vivo Summer Academy. The exhibition can be viewed until September 29 on Fridays from 3 pm to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 2 pm to 5 pm with free admission.
