Sometimes we can simply marvel at the musical diversity of Austria’s concert life. This program offers four examples – all of which can be tried in Austria in October.
In the person of Camané, one of the most important fado singers gives two concerts, namely in Vienna and Sankt Pölten, to the tune of a whole orchestra (Tonkunstler).
Chris Thiel is really on the road on his own and makes a stop at the beloved Mozart Hall at Vienna’s Konzerthaus Hotel. In addition to fast fingers, the mandolin also has flexible vocal cords.
Soft would be an understatement if we were to describe Erika Stucky’s voice. The living legend of Jodel and beyond appears as a guest in Austria, honoring two well-deserved independent houses, Treibhaus Innsbruck and Schlachthof Wels.
Stucky’s unrivaled blend of jazz, pop, improvisation and Swiss folk music originally arose from the fact that the singer was born in San Francisco and then moved to the Upper Valley.
Marta Topferova, who was born in the Czech Republic, also has a strong connection to the USA, albeit with the Latin American community of the Big Apple. Through these experiences, Topferova creates a unique blend of styles that it offers at Sargfabrik in Vienna.
