But the current joy in it would have been inconceivable a few months ago, because a spinal disc injury derailed Frisacher. Surgery followed on his back, and he couldn’t even feel his feet for a short while.

But the pop star resisted: “I did a lot for my health. I followed the program to build abs and back muscles,” the 61-year-old told MDR magazine Meine Schlagerwelt.

But even while he’s in rehab, he continues to focus on his music, because there should be a new album out soon. But it hasn’t been an easy ride: “I was down mentally, mentally, really. And then when you feel better and then you hear these songs that I wrote during this time, you think, ‘Oh my God, I can’t expect fans to post it, it’s so sad,'” was his statement. for “Meine Schlagerwelt”. The new album will be released in the fall.
