“The operation is completed, and everything went well. Thank you for your support,” Vlhova wrote on her Instagram channel on Monday under a video in which the 28-year-old can be seen in her hospital bed.
Her coach, Benny, confirmed the good news. “The operation was successful. Petra feels in good condition, and the initial recovery is going according to plan,” the Swiss daily newspaper Blick quoted him as saying.
Regarding her rehabilitation, Penny said: “Everyone in the team, including Petra, is positive and ready for this journey full of new experiences.”
Many stars of the scene also sent Slovak wishes. “Petra, be strong! I'm sending you a lot of energy,” Tina Mies, former World Cup winner and current Eurosport expert, wrote under Vlhova's Instagram post.
