America’s largest artificial water reservoir is drying up. The consequences are devastating.

San Francisco As the water drains, mysterious things emerge. Sunken ships, for example – or a barrel with a human skeleton. Lake Mead used to be a tourist attraction and a lifegiver, but now it’s mostly just one thing: a sign of climate desertification.
