The director wants to shoot a science fiction movie based on the book “Mickey 7”, the American media “The Hollywood Reporter” and Deadline.com reported yesterday. The Warner Brothers studio is on board, and Robert Pattinson is being discussed as the lead actor.

Author Edward Ashton’s novel “Mickey7,” due out in February, is about a clone undertaking dangerous missions in spaceflight. If it dies, a new copy will be created. But on a mission to a hostile ice world, Mickey goes underground and rebels against the system. Plan B was acquired by Warner Bros. And Brad Pitt’s Plan B filming rights back in 2020.

Director Bong is also said to be co-producing and writing the screenplay for the untitled sci-fi thriller. Pattinson can be seen on screens in the Warner Batman movie, which begins in March.

The social satire “Parasite” won four Oscars in 2020 for director, screenplay, best foreign language film, and in the first category, “best picture”. Never before has the highest award gone to a film shot in a language other than English.
