In order to continue the Matrix series, lead actor Keanu Reeves fell from a tall building 19 times – but was secured with ropes. “It was amazing!” said the Canadian actor on the Late Show director Stephen Colbert. “Can you just imagine jumping off a building?” The stunt he landed alongside co-star Carrie-Ann Moss from Floor 46 was clearly the craziest experience on the set.

“When we got there, my heart was beating a little faster, but after the first time you can’t think of fear,” Reeves said. “You don’t have to fade away, you have to deal with it, absorb it and just do it.” Digital implementation of the scene was out of the question, as director Lana Wachowski wanted natural morning lighting. So the scene “19 or 20 times” was shot in two mornings.
The fourth installment of the Matrix series titled “Matrix Resurrections” is the eagerly awaited continuation of the 20-year-old’s trilogy with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the lead roles. The film will be released in theaters on December 22nd.
