Kultur-Werkstatt-Schnopfhagen: Poxrucker Sisters: Finale of the legendary tour at Schnopfhagen-Stadl Oberneukirchen

With thunderous applause, the audience thanked the Poxrucker sisters and their great band musicians for an eventful concert at the Schnopfhagen-Stadl in Oberneukirch.

Sisters Stephanie, Christina and Magdalena symbolize the realistic, sexy tone and catchy songs. The charm of the Mühlviertel, the special intimacy of the sisters and their stories was noticeable in their voices, texts and songs. With their new album “Horizont”, released in 2021, they drew inspiration from their roots and from life and offered new possibilities of musical expression. Songs like “Horizont”, “Deafs a bissl mehr sei” or “100 Sochen” are convinced with strong, courageous lyrics and a refreshing, sexy sound. “Up to the moon”, “Wos zöht” or “we” were influenced by feeling and taste.

The music has accompanied singer/songwriters Stephanie, Christina and Magdalena Boxrucker from the Upper Austrian region of Mühlviertel since their childhood. Their first concert program was in 2010 and three years later they met their producer Roman Stenkogler. They began artistic collaborations with him and with musicians Ernst Gotschmann, Stefan Hofer, Otto Andreas Bruckner and Johannes Beham and sound engineer Felix Dictmüller.

Concluding the tour in the cozy Schnopfhagen-Stadl, the sisters managed to take the audience on a musical journey and actively engage them. There was singing and applause. It is true that the motto: deaf a little more? Believes!
