Max Verstappen celebrates his victory at the Red Bull Ring

Max Verstappen is currently the benchmark for all things in the premium sports car category. In the 2021 Styria GP at the Red Bull Ring, he won an undisputed victory from start to finish and the hoped-for victory at the Red Bull Racing Stadium. The Dutchman tied Alain Prost, the only Formula 1 driver to date to celebrate three Formula 1 victories on Austrian soil. The world-class motorsport will continue next week in Spielberg for the “Formula 1 BWT Grand Prix in Austria 2021”.

Max Verstappen (NED / Red Bull Racing): “From the start I had good balance in the car. It was right to salvage the tyres. They held up to the end. We delivered the best lap times. Such a start in the home races is of course perfect. Next week we have to show we are better!”

With his interpretation of the Styrian national anthem, Andreas Gaballier put fans in a good mood for the Styria GB race. The Austrian armed forces highlighted the national flag with an Agusta Bell 212 helicopter and the flag of Styria with Alouette III directly above the starting line.
