A quick look at the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One sales numbers
However, Microsoft revealed more numbers. In addition to the Xbox Series sales figures, there are also sales figures Xbox One, because it is integrated with the series. Accordingly, the Xbox One family of consoles will appear 58 million units sold. After all, that number is still fairly stable after production actually stopped at the start of the previous year.
An important detail that should not be irrelevant to Xbox Game Pass. Microsoft has announced that about 48% of all Xbox Series S owners are new to the ecosystem, meaning they have not previously owned an Xbox account. At the very least, the less powerful and cheaper variant S of the latest generation Xbox should have fulfilled its mission: bring in new gamers.

Microsoft doesn’t like to talk about sales numbers
It’s been a long time since Microsoft has shared official sales numbers. In the past, sales figures for consoles such as the Xbox 360 and Xbox One were announced regularly. However, with the launch of the current generation of consoles, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Microsoft decided to focus on other metrics to measure the success of the platform. Instead of focusing solely on hardware sales, Microsoft is now focusing more on the monthly active user (MAU) and the success of subscription services like Xbox Game Pass.
In contrast, the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) is currently sold just over 38 million times.
