For the fifth time, the courthouse square was supposed to be turned into a summer movie theater again, but the weather gods didn’t cooperate. “We ordered a Greek rite, but unfortunately the delivery didn’t work out,” city councilor Maria Riegler said in her speech at the start of the summer cinema. There was a choice of three evening films and two children’s films. The cinema was attended by about 550 people. “We are very happy that we had an excellent alt quarter with Lengenbacher Saal. Everything could have been fitted out outdoors, but the weather threw a wrench into the works,” says Riegler.
In all five performances, the starry sky is replaced by dry, weathered space. With the popcorn bags full, the taste of the real movie hall was quite similar to the real old theater.
