You are currently on tour and on Thursday 14 March you will stop in St. Pölten again. This is not your first appearance at Cinema Paradiso. What do you especially like about the state capital or this location?
Max Borchardt: The atmosphere at Cinema Paradiso is very intimate and real. You feel like you're in a theater and that's a good feeling. We always enjoy being here.
With “Andromeda” you are already presenting your fifth record. What is your source of inspiration?
Borchardt: The basic idea of ”Andromeda” relates to sea navigation. Andromeda is a symbol of navigation. The sea is often rough and a bit wild. You need a good team to beat them. The album is intended to serve as a guide.
What goal did you approach the album with this time?
Borchardt: The goal was to bring more lightness to the music. We tried to move more freely musically in order to give more space to the emotions. It shouldn't seem difficult.
The lyrics still sound very thoughtful at times, but the sound is carefree and light. How would you describe “Andromeda”?
Borchardt: The album can be described as an emotional rollercoaster with a happy ending.
What do you plan for the future? Is there another album on the horizon?
Borchardt: After the album Before the album. (Laughs) Yes, we are currently working on a new one.
