Cyberpunk 2077: Legal Dispute Settles With Investors Paying Millions

The lawsuit resulted in potential damages of up to $11 million, so the settlement means CD Projekt RED is getting away with a fraction of that. Anyone who trades CD Projekt RED securities between January 16, 2020 and December 17, 2020 can benefit. $0.49 per piece can be claimed from the settlement payment.

Overall, there were originally four separate lawsuits related to Cyberpunk 2077, which were eventually combined into one. With the current settlement, the development studio can now fully focus on its actual core business again – hoping that stories like the one around the beginning of Cyberpunk 2077 won’t repeat themselves.

At the time, the sci-fi RPG not only had many bugs on the retail release, but was practically unplayable due to performance difficulties on last generation consoles. As a result, the game was removed from the PlayStation Store and the manufacturers also issued refunds for game proceeds through several distribution channels.
