Fermin Aldeguer (Beta Tools SpeedUp) continues to ride his incredible wave, which has already brought him four victories in the second half of the 2023 season. The Spaniard added another record to the collection with a 1:33.264. Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing) was his closest competitor, as the Spaniard gained more than half a second in the third practice session to take second place. Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) also made a big step and finished third. The Briton made it into the top three ahead of his final race on the Grand Prix circuit.
Celestino Vitti (Fantic Racing) missed the top three by just 0.008 seconds. The Italian broke the 1:34 mark on Saturday morning as he improved by four tenths to fourth place. Alonso Lopez (Beta Tools SpeedUp) also found his form in the third practice session and finished in the top five ahead of world champion Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo). The No. 37 was the only rider in the top 20 who couldn’t improve on his time on Friday, but he still finished sixth ahead of Manuel Gonzalez (Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team).
In Q2, Aaron Canet (Pons Wegow Los40), who finished eighth, will be among the big favorites ahead of Jake Dixon (Inde GASGAS Aspar Team) and Dennis Foggia (Italtrans Racing Team), who rounded out the top ten. Albert Arenas (Red Bull KTM Ajo) still has to improve slightly from 11th, but he has made it to Q2. Izan Guevara (Team Inde GASGAS Aspar), Barry Baltus (Fieten Olie Racing GP) and Sergio Garcia (Pons Wegow Los40) took the final positions in Q2.
