Author Mark Ellsberg, bestselling author of Blackout, believes that not only the state but the citizens of Austria are not well prepared: “In our society we have the great luxury of having systems that work very well. However, in the few decades we have overlooked Past the fact that these systems can also fail at one point or another.
If everyone followed the official recommendations and had a supply at home for ten to 14 days, we would have fewer problems in the event of a power outage. For our parents, the question of having a well-stocked storeroom was, of course, a necessity, but unfortunately that is no longer the case today.”
In the report, journalists investigate what Austria could expect in the event of a disaster and what everyone would do in the event of a power outage.
