The International Choral Competition has been a highlight of Spittal's cultural summer for decades. In the fifty-eighth session, which takes place from July 5 to 7, there are eight Choirs from eight countries around the world on a concert tour around the world in the center of Spittal. Singers compete against each other in the “Art Song” and “Popular Song” categories. Choirs can also win the Günther Mittergradnegger Prize for best interpretation of a contemporary piece and the coveted Walter Steiner Audience Award.
This year about 360 singers from Belarus, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Sweden, Spain and Slovenia will participate in the international jury headed by Herbert Bock.
One of the toughest and most prestigious choral competitions in the world also represents great advertising value for Spittal, taking the city around the world.
As every year, the Cultural Office of the Municipality of Spittal and Singkres Borsia is responsible for the organization and implementation.

Tickets for the 58th International Choral Competition can be purchased via the Ticketleo booking platform – https://reservation.ticketleo.com/user/3713/event-list – Or at the Borussia ticket office during the period from Friday, March 1, 2024 at 9 am They can be ordered by 4pm on the day of the show.
The number of tickets is limited to four per reservation.
