DrIn 2022/23, the Spa City theater draws on a proven repertoire of ‘charisma and history’.

With the Austrian premiere of the musical “Neon” (which won five Tunisians in 1982), presented and choreographed by Ramesh Nair, the Baden stage at Stadt Theater begins in the 2022/23 season, its motto “charisma and history”. This is also in line with Georges Bizet’s evergreen opera “Carmen” (with Natalia Ushakova in the title role), the musical “The Fun Girl” or – as a revival – “Robin Hood”.

“Die Fledermaus,” directed by Michael Lackner, takes Verena Sheetz to the stage in a double role as Russian oligarch Alexandra Orlovskaya and prison warden Froch — alongside Cornelia Horak, Clemens Kirschbaumer and Angelica Niditzky. Other operetta highlights: Lehár’s “The Count of Luxembourg” and (in the Summer Square) Robert Stolz’s “Spring Parade” (directed by Lackner, with Oliver Baer and Gerald Bechwitz, premiere broadcast live by ORF III).

Ballet evenings, the musical “Cabaret”, a series of concerts, preparatory trainees, special performances at the Foyer Max Reinhardt and guest performances on the Lower Austrian State Theater complete the program. Managing Director Martina Malzer announced an exclusive discount: subscription holders can travel to performance on all VOR lines from the borders of the Vienna main area or from Wiener Neustadt free of charge.
