Rock and pop in a country look

You see. On Friday 2nd February, the “Country Swingers” will give a concert at the Spinnerei Traun. From 8pm, they will delight the audience with songs by Toto, Joe Cocker and Tina Turner.

Funny, sexy, and creative – that's how “Country Swingers” describe themselves. On February 2nd, starting at 8pm, they will come to the large hall of the Trauner Spinnerei with their latest project “I Hold The Line”: old pop and rock classics will be reinterpreted in the country sound they have become so fond of.

Reinforcements include Paul Hofstadler, Christian Wirth, Andreas Neubauer, Rainer Falk and Othmar Hamtner from the female quartet Vocal Ladies. So it's no wonder that Johnny Cash's “I walk the line” meets Toto's “Hold the line,” or that rock legend Joe Cocker is wearing a cowboy hat, or that you suddenly see Tina Turner scurrying across the stage in the shadows.

The band's long history

The Country Swingers are considered the most interesting country band in Austria. The group, which has won numerous awards (twice Band of the Year, twice Musician of the Year and CD of the Year), was founded more than 40 years ago and has developed into a very creative and exciting band. Their latest program promises to effectively highlight 'American music', laced with rock classics in a country guise.

Tickets can be reserved or purchased at www.kulturpark.at/programm. Tickets are also available on the website www.oeticket.at. Tickets cost €30 in advance, plus €2 at the box office. School and student tickets are discounted.
