Lower Austria celebrates its 100th birthday on June 25 and 26 – Klosterneuburg celebrates too!
With the “100 Years” clubs on Saturday night, a unique in the country event is on the program in the town of Papenburg.
Sunday will be enriched by ProSieben winner and finalist of the selection “Germany’s Next Top Model” Lou Ann and her mother Martina.
The program is tightly packed on both days: on Saturdays from 1 pm. There will be a gala at ISTA with a scholarly focus, from 5.30 pm at Stiftsplatz. From 9:30 pm there will be clubs in Babenbergerhalle. Sunday begins with the solemn mass in the monastery at 11 am, followed by the morning mass.
Clubs and institutions offer a wide mix
Several institutions, museums, clubs and blue light organizations in Klosterneuburg participate in the festival, including the City Museum, Kierling Museum, Boy Scouts, Austrian Tourist Club, 1288 Venice Club, folk dance group Klosterneuburg and Weidling Choir.
The treasury and tomb of St. Leopold in the monastery open their doors, there are workshops, performances, a small traveling exhibition on the history of Lower Austria, there is also a rich program for children! Many initiatives and organizations will present themselves as well.
At Saturday’s Athletes’ Gala, the city’s outstanding sporting achievements will be showcased at the front of the curtain. “Boyz Well Done” will play on Saturday and “Gemischter Satz” and “Zupfknopfkontra” will provide musical accompaniment on Sunday.
