St. Pölten. Tonkunstler Orchestra with the best works of Leonard Bernstein, American R&B and jazz singer China Moses and British soul and jazz singer Miles Sanko: This is Tonkunstler and friends and an evening of great music on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Following the huge success of last year, St Pölten's Cathedral Square will once again be transformed into a spectacular open-air theater for the first weekend in July. The new festival of contemporary culture, Tangente St. Pölten, Festspielhaus St. Pölten to great musical moments with the works of Leonard Bernstein. Under the direction of Garrett Kist, the Tonkunstler Orchestra of Lower Austria will present highlights from the works of the great maestro and unique composer, who was able to inspire millions of people with classical music through his broadcast series “Concerts for Youth”. all over the world. In addition to the musical tunes from “On the Town,” the program on Friday evening will show excerpts from the scathing satirical operetta “Candide” and catchy tunes from the successful international film “West Side Story.” In the second part of the evening, two exciting sounds of soul and jazz will entertain you in a unique concert with the Tonkunstler Orchestra. American singer China Moses draws inspiration for her music from a wide range of black American music styles, from soul to jazz to R&B – and it is always sensitive, humorous and emotional. Iconic British soul and jazz singer Miles Sanko, who sometimes sings his way into the audience's hearts emotionally and dynamically, closes out Friday's concert evening full of energy.
