Catherine Deneuve’s shoes up for auction

The luxury designer pumps, sandals, and boots worn by movie icon Catherine Deneuve are under the hammer in France. The online auction for a good cause has fetched over €47,000 today, Paris auction house Artcurial announced. A collector paid the most money to buy a pair of black luxury Saint Laurent shoes. He bought a noble pair for 1,300 euros.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit Restaurants du Coeur. The organization distributes food to the needy and supports them in their daily lives. According to them, Deneuve has already supported the organization several times.

In 2018, Deneuve auctioned off her huge collection of clothing by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. A total of about 300 dresses, coats, and other clothes that Saint Laurent made for his longtime girlfriend were on display over the decades.
