Born in Winterthur, Switzerland, Maurice Steiger is considered one of the most talented recording pioneers of our time. The international press hailed him as the “Paganini of the Recorder” (New Zealand) or “the world’s leading record player” (The Independent). Like any other oboeist, he knows how to make whole worlds with his technically brilliant playing. In May, Maurice Steiger performed with violinist Amandine Beyer, cellist Daniel Rosen and bassist Sebastian Winand at the Musikverein in Vienna.
