He is drawn deeper and deeper into the maelstrom of political drama between 1918 and Hitler's rise to power in 1933, until his inheritance from the United States and the revelation of his Jewish identity become his undoing.
In front of Theo Bierkens' camera, he plays other leading roles in ORF/ZDF productions. Sigi Zimmerscheid, Friedrich Linkmann, Verena Altenberger, Sebastian Beisel, Antonia Bell, Helmfried von Lottschau, and Susi Stach.
The script comes from Hannah Holliger.
